The drive-through vaccination drive at Albert Park will continue today.

Hundreds of Fijians participated yesterday and received their doses of AstraZeneca from the comfort of their cars.

79-year-old Laisa Suka says she refused to get vaccinated, but after watching the news and hearing about the increase in COVID-19 cases, she decided to get vaccinated.

Suka says it was a hard decision to make, but she has faith in God, so she decided to do it.

Suka shared that all her family members have been vaccinated including her children.

She says when she woke up yesterday morning, she immediately called her son to make arrangements for them to visit the drive-through vaccination drive at Albert Park.

Suka thanked the Ministry of Health and Medical Services for their commitment and sacrifice during this pandemic.

She says they didn't have to wait in long lines, they were able to get vaccinated sitting in the comfort of their cars.

Suka encourages all Fijians, especially the elderly, that if they are still unsure of getting this vaccination, she is a living testimony that it does not have any side effects and we should all get vaccinated.

Sharing similar sentiments, 69-year-old Razak Ali and his wife were delighted to receive their second jab. Ali says getting their 2nd dose of the vaccine through the drive-through was convenient for them, especially for the elderly and those unable to stand in long lines.

He says they feel great and they would like to encourage all Fijians that are still undecided to please consider getting vaccinated as a way to save your family and grandchildren.
