The printing of all ballot papers required for the 2022 General Election has been completed.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says a total of 795,150 ballot papers have been printed, which includes 20,000 postal ballot papers, 106,300 pre-poll ballot papers and 668,850 election day ballot papers.

Saneem says the 668,850 ballot papers includes the ballot books that will be used for voting by people who are registered overseas but will be in Fiji on election day as they will be able to vote at the St. Stephens Building in Suva.

According to the Supervisor of Elections, 335 cartons of ballot papers have been transported from Star Printery in Raiwai to the FEO Warehouse in Laucala Beach.

Saneem says that throughout the printing process, the Multinational Observer Group and political party representatives have been given full access to the premises, while at the same time FEO staff and members of the Fiji Police Force have been present 24/7 supervising the printing process and maintaining security.

The Supervisor of Elections is also reminding registered voters that pre-poll is set to commence on the 5th of December 2022.
