Swire Shipping Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn says they have growing confidence that they’ll be able to play in front of home fans in Fiji at Suva’s ANZ Stadium on 30 April in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

He says they are buoyed by the announcement by the Fijian Government about the return of spectators to sports.

Thorburn adds Fijian rugby fans are renowned for the vibrancy, noise and atmosphere they bring to stadiums.

He further says their players are absolutely buzzing at the prospect of Drua fans, supporters and rugby lovers cheering for them at the stadium by bringing the sounds and colours of Fiji to these venues.

The Fijian Drua today released details for five of their seven home matches for Super Rugby Pacific.

Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium will be the Drua’s home match venue for two games, with a game each confirmed for Sydney’s CommBank Stadium and Leichhardt Oval.

The Drua will confirm the venues for their Round 7 home match against the NSW Waratahs and Round 14 home match against the Chiefs shortly.

The Drua take on Melbourne Rebels at 6pm tomorrow in Melbourne in their trial match.

Their first match of the Super Rugby Pacific season is against the Waratahs at 8.45pm next Friday in Sydney
