The Fiji Teachers Registration Authority has wished teachers, educators and the general knowledge providers of Fiji a happy Diwali and has expressed appreciation to those teachers and educators who stay away from their families and communities in rural, remote and maritime areas to offer their teaching services and cannot be with their loved ones during special festivals such as Diwali.

While expressing the best wishes of Diwali on behalf of the FTRA Board and the staff, Authority CEO Sangeeta Singh says this undoubtedly is a great sacrifice and reflects one of the many teachings of Diwali.

She has also applauded the hard work and perseverance of all teachers around the nation in preparing the students for internal and external examinations.

Singh says Diwali is a festival, much awaited, loved and celebrated by all Fijians, and this makes us very unique, special and proud Fijian.

The CEO says symbolically Diwali is considered as triumph of good over evil and this is why it holds a very auspicious and special significance amongst all Hindus.

She says there are different reasons associated with this incomparable festival and it teaches and reminds us on our values and the fundamental essence of humanity.

Singh adds may the divine light of this Diwali bring grand success, joy and strength to the teaching fraternity of Fiji.
