The Fiji Pine Group is raising concern that someone is falsely claiming to be their Chairman numerous times and tarnishing the reputation of their organisation.

In a letter, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Taniela Nakibo, clarified that this illegal representation is completely unacceptable.

He says the landowners and stakeholders, who have put their trust in Fiji Pine Trust, have expressed their concerns about the continuous unauthorized representation.

Nakibo says it has been observed that those involved in this impersonation were previously removed from their positions due to reports of abuse and corruption.

He adds their actions not only undermine the integrity of the organisation but also pose a threat to the well-being of the landowners.

The Chairman says in light of this grave matter, they have reported the incident to the Police for further investigation and are confident that the authorities will take appropriate action to apprehend those responsible for this deceitful act.

He says as a Chairman of Fiji Pine Trust and a Shareholder of Fiji Pine Group, he would like to express their deep concern and disappointment regarding the recent series of degrading remarks and disparaging comments directed and targeting the CEO of Fiji Pine Group on social media.

Nakibo says he feels compelled to address this issue due to its potential negative impact on the Pine Industry, the landowners and the broader community.

He further says the Fiji Pine Group has delivered far better results compared to the past, and the landowners are getting the dividends.

The Chairman adds the Pine Group, with its significant ties to the land and the management of numerous landowning units, holds a unique and critical responsibility towards the prosperity and well-being of their stakeholders.

He says the recent derogatory posts circulating on social media not only undermine the reputation of the CEO of their company but also reflect a regrettable level of disrespect towards their organisation and the landowners they represent.

Nakibo says it is unfortunate that such individuals with personal and political agendas, including those who have been removed from the organisation due to abusive practices and corruption, are using social media to propagate lies and derogatory remarks.

He also says their actions not only tarnish the hard-earned reputation of Fiji Pine but also demonstrate a complete disregard for the interest of the landowners and the communities they serve.
