Fiji Government Services is unaffected by the IT outage following the tech disruptions across the world today.

This has been confirmed by the Ministry of Communications through a Facebook post.

The Ministry say the leading cybersecurity provider, has confirmed an ongoing global outage caused by a technical issue affecting its services.

They say the government understands this news may raise concerns, and they have assured the public that essential government services remain fully operational and unaffected by this outage.

Businesses using CrowdStrike services are encouraged to consult the CrowdStrike support portal for further information and updates.

A fix has already been deployed by CrowdStrike and it may take some time for it to be resolved.

The Ministry is closely following the developments and will provide further updates as required.

The tech outage has hit airlines, banks, businesses, schools, government and some emergency services, with one expert saying it could be the “largest IT outage in history.

Meanwhile, Fiji Airports say they are aware of the global tech outage and are also monitoring the situation.

Fiji Airport CEO, Mesake Nawari confirms that Nadi International Airport services are normal and there has not been a report of services affected.
