Lawyer, Neel Shivam will chair the Fiji Football Association’s Independent Disciplinary Committee meeting this afternoon which will hear the cases of 13 players who were suspended earlier this year after testing positive for using marijuana in Fiji FA competitions.
These players include Ba’s Manasa Nawakula and Saula Waqa who have filed constitutional redress cases in court against the Fiji FA’s President, Rajesh Patel and CEO Mohammed Yusuf.
They had tested positive for using marijuana and were suspended from playing all levels of soccer for 3 years after this year’s Battle of the Giants in August.
Fiji FA’s CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says the Independent Disciplinary Committee will come back to them with judgments in 14 days time.
