Fiji FA CEO Mohammad Yusuf says they are ready to cooperate if Police want information in relation to players testing positive for drug use however the matter has not been reported.

96 drug tests were conducted during the Punjas Battle of the Giants Tournament where 2 players were found positive for drug use.

Police earlier confirmed they are ready to work with the Fiji FA executives when they come forward with the information.

Yusuf says the second player found positive is one of the players who participated in the semi-finals and final of Punjas BOG.

He says they won't be naming the player however he has been suspended for three years.

Yusuf says the 3-year suspension of players and the $500 fine imposed on clubs should one of their players test positive for drug use is enough deterrence.

Ba’s Saula Waqa, a repeat offender, was suspended for three years after he tested positive for using marijuana during the pool matches of BOG.

Fiji FA has also announced that Nishant Patel is the new National team physiotherapist.

Patel will also be traveling to other districts to teach players about which substances are banned when he is not attending to the National team.
