The Fiji Football Association will be sending its teams to educate district officials and soccer players in terms of what will now be the new norms during soccer matches.

Fiji FA’s CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says they will be directly involved to ensure social distancing is being followed by fans and there is sanitization of change rooms and soccer balls.

Yusuf says there will be new norms which includes no handshakes during the games and players will also not be allowed to spit in the games.

Fans will also not be allowed to go inside the pitch after the match to meet the players.

With the Prime Minister announcing that formal indoor and outdoor sporting venues can host sporting events with spectators at 50 percent capacity, Yusuf says they will not have issues with crowd numbers.

The local soccer season will resume with the Ba versus Navua clash in the Vodafone Premier League on the 11th of next month, at the Fiji FA Academy grounds in Ba.

The next few weeks will see Ba mostly in action as they have only featured once this season in the VPL.

Ba will face Lautoka on the 15th of next month at Churchill Park, and then meet Nasinu on the 18th.
