The Board Chair of Father Law Home in Lami says they are in continuous need of assistance as their costs have increased and donor funding has decreased due to the impact of COVID-19.

Jeffery Lin says they are facing major challenges in maintaining an operational cost and ensuring the caregivers are paid.

He says their biggest costs includes the wages of the caregivers, utility bills, medical costs and food for their 27 elderly residents.

Lin says 25 residents had tested positive for COVID-19 but they are blessed that all have made a full recovery.

He says they had to engage a doctor to stay at the Home for 6 weeks when the residents were battling the virus.

Lin further says they are grateful to the grants from the Government but that has been slow in coming in so they have had to rely on donors for the last year or so.

He says assistance from donors has kept them going in ensuring they are able to provide care to the residents.

If you want to help, you can contact Father Law Home on their Facebook page or you can call them on 336 1107.
