Today you bear the weight of success, hope, dreams and accomplishment of yourself and your families as you graduate.

This was shared by the General Secretary of the Fijian Teachers Association Paula Manumanunitoga as 579 students graduate from the Fiji National University today.

Manumanunitoga says today marks the day of perseverance, dedication and commitment the students have shown to attain their goals in life.

He says the unwavering devotion of teachers and lecturers in shaping these young minds is a testament to fostering their dreams and ambitions for the betterment of the country.

Manumanunitoga says as the graduates stand poised for today, the skills and knowledge they have acquired will serve as the bed rock of their futures.

While addressing the members of the education community, he says let us build and thrive professionally and build strong work ethics which are the pillars of any profession.

He reminded the graduates that the decisions they make—whether in a boardroom, courtroom, or any high-level meeting—should be guided by a moral compass.

Manumanunitoga encouraged the graduates to join trade unions as unions provide a safe net for fair wages and job rights to navigate the challenges that arise in work and the larbour market.

He says as graduates embark on their journey, they should embrace passion, seek knowledge and transform challenges into opportunities.
