The University of the South Pacific (USP) is welcoming applications from students for the first Semester of the 2024 academic year before January 31.

For students who completed Year 13 in 2023 and have received their external examination results, USP wishes to advise them to submit their application online via the EnrolMe portal www.usp.ac.fj/sas/ or visit us during our roadshow on Friday (January 19) and Saturday (January 20).

Year 13 students must submit a copy of their external exam results and birth certificate when applying online. They can also bring the same to any of our campus and roadshow venues should they need assistance to apply online or manually.

The USP roadshow team will be in the main town centres in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu for two days to assist students with applications, provide academic advice, answer any questions and more.

Year 12 students wishing to pursue a foundation, a certificate or a Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) course must provide a copy of their birth certificate and Year 11 annual examination result if they haven’t received their external result.

Similarly, Year 11 students who wish to pursue preliminary studies at USP or pursue any of the eligible Pacific TAFE programmes are requested to provide a copy of their birth certificate and Year 10 annual exam results.

USP, as the leading institution in the region, is committed to providing equal opportunity to our students in Fiji and the Pacific to pursue their education. We also have pathways for students who did not acquire the desired mark to be admitted to the programme they wish to pursue.

Students who score marks below 180 out of 400 can do a full foundation course as a stepping stone to an undergraduate programme.

The university also provides a pathway for those who score between 180 and 199 out of 400 to pursue an unclassified programme to address Year 13 subject challenges while seamlessly integrating relevant undergraduate degree courses into their academic journey.

As part of our commitment to provide equal access to education, the region’s premier institute also encourages those whose mark falls between 200 – 249 and missed out on securing a scholarship from the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service (TSLS), to apply for the financial assistance with USP’s flexible fee payment and Bursary Scheme; however, to qualify for the scheme, students must complete a semester before they are eligible.
