The ACT Brumbies are looking to be the first Australian team in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition to win on Fijian soil when they take on the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in round 1 next weekend.

Brumbies backrower and Wallabies flanker Rob Valetini, the younger brother of Fijian Drua outside back Kemu Valetini, says he knows one of their biggest games will be in Fiji next week.

He says not too many teams have won over in Fiji and it is going to be a big hurdle for the Brumbies as a team.

He adds it will be a challenge for them, but an exciting one.

Valetini further says they cannot take any teams lightly in the competition as one round could cost them badly.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua and Brumbies match-up next week is dubbed ‘Valetini day’ as the two Valetini brothers are expected to face off for the first time in Fiji.

The two brothers are originally from Galoa village in Kadavu and history is on the line for them if they make it into the matchday 23 squad for their respective teams.

The Drua will host the Brumbies at 3.35pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva next Saturday.
