Education plays a pivotal role in nurturing children's minds and their mental well-being in shaping the future of Fiji

This was highlighted by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad during the launching of the Kimaya Foundation and Brighter Minds, to build a resilient and progressive nation.

Professor Prasad says the impact of the two organisations and Kimaya Foundation and Brighter Minds are not just institutions, they are beacons of hope that will inspire young Fijians to reach their full potential.

He says our future depends on how well we prepare our children today and initiatives like these provide the tools and support necessary for holistic development.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the foundation’s commitment to mental health awareness and cognitive development.

He adds mental well-being is as vital as physical health and programs that foster emotional intelligence and cognitive growth are investments in our country’s future.

Professor Prasad acknowledged the collaborative efforts behind the launch and says the initiative is a testament to what they can achieve when communities, educators, and leaders come together with a shared vision.

He concluded by encouraging continued support for educational and mental health programs.
