EFL hoping to restore power fully to all parts of Fiji by Thursday

Energy Fiji Limited says they are hoping to restore power fully to all parts of Fiji by Thursday.

EFL CEO, Hasmukh Patel says they have released tentative restoration times for areas around the country still without power due to fallen power poles, fallen power lines and damage to other power infrastructure.

Patel stresses that these timelines are tentative and subject to change due to the weather condition, access to affected areas and the extent of damage to the power network. He says one thing about their line of work is any short cuts or errors can lead to serious injuries or even fatality. He says due to COVID-19 lockdown in the greater Suva Area there are some widespread areas that only have small teams working to restore power. He adds they have deployed contractors,who are trying to repair the power lines and help EFL in expediting the restoration work.

Nausori

Only 30 percent of the areas in Nausori have their power supply restored at this stage and Energy Fiji Limited says areas still affected will have power supply progressively restored by Monday.

The areas still without power in Nausori are Waila Road, Navuso, Baulevu Road in Muaniweni, whole of Kasavu, whole of Sawani Serea Road from the Junction of Princes Road, Buidina, Naqeledamu, Lakena No 1 Hill, Vusuya, Waituri Settlement, Veiwalai, Raralevu Road, Dravo, Matanikorobau Road, whole of Caucata Road, whole of Toga Rewa, Koronivia Road, & Rewa Delta

Lami

Areas still without power supply in Lami can expect restoration to progressively start by Monday.

Only 22% of the power supply has been restored in Lami.

Lami Industrial, Junction of 7th Day Adventist School on Queens Road, Delainavesi Road, Naicobocobo Road & Lami Town till Wailekutu Creek still without power.

Nasinu

85% of the areas in Nasinu have their power supply restored and areas still affected can expect power supply progressively restored by today.

Areas still without power in Nasinu are Part of Kalokalo Cresent, Sagali Road, Wainunu Road, Wainubuku Road, Nasese Settlement, Sarava Road, Wally Mohammed Subdivision & parts of Nakasi .

Suva

90% of areas in Suva have power supply restored and areas still affected can expect progressive restoration by tommorow.

In Suva, part of Ratu Mara Road from junction of Lakeba Street Traffic light till Nabua Traffic Light including part of Raiwasa Road from Ratu Mara Road Junction till Grantham Road Junction including Shalimar Street, Part of Wailoku are still without power.

Navua, Pacific Harbour and Deuba

People living in Navua, Pacific Harbour and Deuba will have their power supply progressively restored by Monday.

The power supply has been restored to 50% of the areas in Navua, Pacific Harbour and Deuba.

The areas still affected include Taunovo till Matanipusi Hills, Marist Brothers Mission, Telecom Repeater Station Galoa, Namosi Provisional Housing, Waidradra Village, Fiji Postoral Factory, Tokotoko, Naitata, Yanuca Place, Nakaulevu, Mau Village Namosi, & Part of Wainadoi

Korovou

EFL has so far restored power supply to 4 percent of Korovou.

People that live along Kings Road from Korovou Town till Navesau, Dawasamu, Natovi, and Lodoni can expect their power supply to be progressively restored by Monday.

Vunidawa, Naitasiri

EFL has restored power to 3 percent of Vunidawa, Naitasiri.

Areas in Vunidawa still affected can expect their power supply to be progressively restored by Monday.

WESTERN DIVISION

Energy Fiji Limited says power supply will be progressively restored to areas affected in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Nadarivatu by next week.

Nadi

Only 40% of areas in Nadi have power supply restored.

The power supply in Nadi is expected to be progressively restored by next Thursday.

Areas still affected include part of Waimalika, part of Legalega, Natalau, Nadele, Masimasi, Nagado, Sabeto, Korobebe, Keolaiya, Naboutini, Nadele, Matavolivoli, Nasau, Meighniya, Saunaka Nakavu, Navoci, Navakai, Waqadra, Nabutini, Narewa, part of Nadi Back Road, Mulomulo, Nawaka, Vatutu, Solovi, Tovatova, Yavuna, Nausori Highlands, Nakurakura, Korovuto, Nawai, Nacovi, Navo, Sikituru, Malolo, Arolevu, Vuniyasi, Malakua, Maqalevu, Navutulevu, Tiliva, Nawaicoba, Marasa, Mate Road, Tunalia, Nalovo, Uciwai, Malamala, Amgali, Nabila, Sariwaya, Momi,and Vunamoli.

Lautoka

70% of areas in Lautoka now have power.

The power supply in Lautoka is expected to be progressively restored by next Tuesday.

Areas still affected include parts of Drasa/Vitogo, part of Matawalu, Qalitu, Nacilau, Tuvu, Drasa Avenue, part of Viseisei, Vuda Point, Nabara, Lomolomo, Natalau, Wailoko.

Ba

50% of the power supply has been restored in Ba. Areas still affected are expected to have power supply progressively restored by next Thursday.

The affected areas include part of Raviravi, part of Karavi, Tavarau, Babriban, Nalotawa, Yaloku, Nanuku Village, Koronubu, Namada, part of Benai, Namau, Navala, Nakoroboya, Matavelo, Veisaru, Votua and Bilolo

Tavua

35% of areas in Tavua have power supply restored.

Areas still affected are expected to have power supply progressively restored by Monday.

The affected areas in Tavua include part of Yasiyasi, Matalevu, part of Natawa, Matacawa, part of Tagitagi, Maqere, Tavualevu, Vatutavui, Mataniwai, Nabuna, Rakavidi, Davota, part of Rabulu, part of Yaqara, Nananu, Naseyani, Tuidreke, Natokita snd Waikubukubu.

Rakiraki

25% of the power supply has been restored in Rakiraki.

Progressive power restoration is expected to start by next Thursday in Rakiraki.

The areas still without power are Wairuku, Vitawa, Naivuvuni, Vunitogoloa, Nanuku, Rewasa, Narara, Korotale, Nakorokula, Navolau, Navunidawa, Naimuaimada, Vaidoko, Naboutolu, Nokonoko, Madhuvani, Saivou, Dokanavatu, Korotiki, Nanukuloa, Naiserelagi, Wailevu, Navunibitu, Ra Maternity Hospital, Tokio, Barotu, Ra, Waimicia, Vunikavikaloa, Rokoroko, Jaina, Navuniivi, Namunamu, Matawailevu, Nakorovou, Mataso, Sobasoba, Waimaro Health Centre, Nausori, Ellington, Nagana, Burenitu, Navitilevu, Nasavusavu, Nauto, Toki, Tobu, Dama, Nalawa, Rokovuaka, Navesau, Nalaba, Nailawa,Roma, Mataveikai, Nabalabala, Nativi, Maniyava, Narauyaba, Vuniyaumunu, Drauniivi Settlement, Naivutu, Naraviravi, Navaivai, Drekeniwai, Vunibaka, Tokaimalo, Naqoro, Narewa, Vitawa & Volivoli,

Only 10% of areas in Sigatoka have power supply.

Power restoration in Sigatoka is expected to start from tomorrow.

Areas still affected in Labasa , Seaqaqa, Dreketi and Savusavu can expect their power supply to be progressively restored from tomorrow.
