It was a night of glamour as the Suva Grammar School 70s decade turned up in numbers to be part of the 70s Vintage Gang for a Dazzling Seventies Cocktail at the Suva Golf Club last night.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Simon Seru, who came all the way from Brisbane to be part of the 60th +4 Jubilee celebration, says there is nothing better than catching up with people they went to school with and those they grew up with.

Seru says he thinks it's very important that people maintain links because we might never know what will happen in the future.

He says during his time in school, he was privileged to attend Grammar as it was during the colonial times, and there were only a few indigenous Fijians allowed to attend the school.

He adds that one of the most memorable moments for him was getting selected to be the Head Boy in 1979.

The Grammarian 80s decade had a breakfast at Suva Bowling Club and then took part in mangrove planting near the Maritime School along Queen Elizabeth Drive.

They will hold a Rock & Roll 80s theme party at the Royal Suva Yacht Club from 6pm to 12pm tonight. Tickets are $50 per person.

Tomorrow, the 60s decade will attend a an assembly at the school and the Millennials will conduct a clean-up at the school from 9am.

On Friday, there will be a Lighthouse at Coconut Island Party at the Suva Bowling Club from 6pm to 12 midnight.

The Grammar Diamond Jubilee Ball will be held at the Vodafone Arena at 6pm Saturday.
