The Fiji Sports Council says it is thrilled to continue its long-standing corporate relationship with Damodar Brothers after signing its Naming Rights Sponsorship renewal of the National Aquatic Centre.

Fiji’s largest pool facility will continue to be known as the Damodar City Aquatic Centre for the next five years.

Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive Officer, Litiana Loabuka says they are extremely grateful and excited to have Damodar continue to support the Council’s vision to be the best and their association with Damodar is simply fitting given the area in which the venue operates from in Laucala Bay in Suva, providing convenience to all of their patrons and services towards Damodar City.

Damodar Group CFO, Dipak Patel says it is pleasing to continue this long-term relationship with the Council and they look forward to upcoming activities the pool venue will have to offer.

Patel says they first took on the naming rights in 2011 and a big part of the Damodar City brand focuses on being part of the communities in which they operate.

He says the naming rights of this state-of-the-art facility is their way of supporting physical health and fitness of youths and all age groups and they look forward to seeing more young Fijian swimmers represent Fiji on the international stage in the coming years.

The Damodar City Aquatic Centre has hosted a multitude of major sporting international events and firsts for Fiji such as the Junior Pan Pacific Championship and Oceania Championship.
