A second Super Rugby match has been affected by the coronavirus outbreak in Japan, with the Crusaders and Sunwolves match that is scheduled for next month being relocated.

The growing concern over the spread of the coronavirus saw the Japanese Government requesting all sporting events to be cancelled over the next two weeks.

Sunwolves boss Yuji Watase confirmed last night the Crusaders and Sunwolves match that was scheduled for the 14th of March will no longer be held in Tokyo.

Watase says they are trying to relocate the Brumbies and the Crusaders match overseas.

Sanzaar who is the governing body of the Super Rugby competition stated yesterday that they are monitoring players and officials daily under an agreed protocol.

Should any Super Rugby games be cancelled, teams will split the competition points, which could have major ramifications come finals time.

The coronavirus has caused over 15 sports to postpone or cancel events since the outbreak was confirmed earlier this year, some of which have been Olympic qualifying events and world championships.

Meanwhile, the Rebels will take on the Highlanders at 6.05 tonight, the Waratahs will face the Lions at 8.15 tonight, Hurricanes will play the Sunwolves at 3.45pm tomorrow, the Reds will take on the Sharks at 8.15pm tomorrow, the Stormers will face the Blues at 1.05am Sunday while the Bulls will play the Jaguares at 3.15am Sunday.
