The Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission is yet to confirm whether the children who have been allegedly subjected to verbal and physical abuse and neglect at Dilkusha Home have been interviewed and provided support and counselling.
When questioned, the Commission says it is trying to hold a meeting with the Methodist Church in Fiji, Police and Department for Social Welfare regarding the matter.
We have also contacted the Director of Social Welfare, Rupeni Fatiaki who says they are waiting for the Human Rights Commission to call a meeting to decide their next action.
The Methodist Church had earlier revealed that it has relieved the Superintendent of the Dilkusha Home in Nausori from her duties until police concludes its investigation.
Police investigations are continuing.
