Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has highlighted that the best legacy that people can leave for their children is an education which can never be stolen.

Speaking at the opening of the new Tebara SDA Kindergarten in Nausori and the Lokia community ECE classroom in Lokia Village, Nausori, Bainimarama says throughout their development, Fijian children have benefited immensely from their parents and community members who have invested in their success as students.

Bainimarama says the government has provided scholarship assistance such as the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme where students who wish to further their education can achieve their dream.

PM BAINIMARAMA APPLAUDS COMMUNITY SUPPORT TOWARDS EDUCATION “It’s clear that the parents and community members here today share my passion for education at all stages of life, and recognise its immense value in shaping our towns, our society, and our very nation.” This was highlighted by the Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama while opening an Early Childhood Education centre at Lokia village in Rewa today. PM Bainimarama highlighted that children here will develop essential life skills that they will carry with them throughout primary school, secondary school, tertiary studies, and beyond. “This isn’t just about learning ABCs and 1-2-3s; it is about setting Fijians out on the right foot, and laying a foundation of knowledge that they will build upon for the rest of their lives.” #TeamFiji #FijiNews #FijianGovernment

He says students will need to keep striving for excellence in school and get higher marks to qualify for such assistance.

The Prime Minister has urged students to make sure they maintain good hygiene so that they are healthy and can attend school at all times.

He says that if a student does not feel well or feel sick, they should immediately inform an adult or a teacher or even a medical authority to prevent any further disaster.

The two newly opened kindergartens are funded by the Chinese Government.
