Bainimarama acknowledges Ro Teimumu for encouraging her people to get vaccinated

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has acknowledged efforts made by the Paramount Chief of Rewa and SODELPA MP Ro Teimumu Kepa to encourage the people of Rewa to get vaccinated in the fight against COVID-19.

While opening the Rewa Provincial Council meeting, Bainimarama says Fiji needs people to work together for the betterment of her people.

Bainimarama says after the opening of our borders, the government is expecting a 11.4 percent economic growth this year.

The Prime Minister has also reminded the people of Rewa that the Russia and Ukraine war has affected a lot of people around the world which has brought high cost of living to our doorsteps.

Meanwhile Bainimarama is encouraging the leaders of Rewa to read the National Budget 2022-2023 which highlights initiatives like the Inflation Mitigation Package of $1 per child for those families with combined incomes of less than $50,000 a year.

He also highlighted that the government has spent over $90 million o development works in the province of Rewa, $53 million was allocated for social welfare while $27 million was used for education in the past eight years.

Bainimarama says that the impact of climate change is evident in the province of Rewa and this is why he is at the forefront of negotiations with world leaders on this issue.
