Ba soccer goalkeeper, Sanaila Waqanicakau will be on restricted movement for a number of weeks as he has suffered a fracture to his vertebrae, the small bones that make up the spinal column.
Team President, Raynal Kumar says Waqanicakau is on neck brace and will remain admitted in Lautoka Hospital for the next few weeks.
He says Waqanicakau has been ruled out of any game time for at least four to five months as he will undergo a lengthy rehabilitation.
Kumar says they are also in discussions with the Fiji FA regarding the Player Insurance Scheme as all players are covered under this scheme.
Waqanicakau suffered the severe injury during the Digicel Premier League game between Ba and Nadi on Sunday.
