Many business people turned up last night at the Grand Pacific Hotel to witness the Bank of the South Pacific’s new identity as they renewed their commitment to serving their valued customers and members of the communities.

While speaking during the unveiling ceremony, BSP Group Chief Operating Officer Nuni Kulu says for nearly seven decades, BSP has been more than just a bank- they are a pillar of financial strength and inclusion in the South Pacific.

She says while others have come and gone, they have remained steadfast in their commitment to providing world-class banking service to the people of this region.

Kulu says in honouring their legacy, their deep-rooted connection to the Pacific is the foundation of their success.

She adds they go where others do not venture, ensuring financial inclusion in even the most remote communities in all the countries they operate in.

She further adds that the world of banking is evolving, and so are they.

The Group's Chief Operating Officer says customers today expect more, faster service, seamless digital transactions and innovative financial inclusion solutions and this transformation is about much more than just a new look.

She says it is about ensuring that every South Pacific household and business has access to the best banking services available.

Kulu adds as they step into this new era, their focus remains on championing prosperity for the South Pacific, and they are making significant investments to enhance financial accessibility and improve banking services, including expanding digital banking services to provide 24-7 convenience, strengthening financial literacy programs to empower individuals and businesses, growing their presence in rural communities, ensuring that no one is left behind, and launching customer-centric innovations that simplify and enhance banking interactions.

She further adds that BSP is not just a bank, they are a trusted partner in financial empowerment.

Speaking on their new logo, Kulu says it represents their unwavering dedication to their customers.

She says their refreshed identity has been designed with contributions from customers and staff across the bank.

Kulu says every element of their identity tells their story.

She also says a stylized Kundu, a drum like the lali, a drumbeat reverberating across the Pacific, reminding us of our heritage and calling us together.

She adds the hook symbolizes strength, stability and prosperity, anchoring us to the region the South Pacific is our home.

She further adds waves represent the oceans that connect us to the world, and a birding flight propels us forward on our journey to a shared, prosperous future supported by modern banking services.

She stressed this is truly a historic moment for BSP across the region.

Attending the event was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications Manoa Kamikamica, Turaga na Tui Suva, Sanaila Madanavosa, and business people.
