BSP Life Group hands over $35,000 to WOWS Kids Fiji after completing 200 million steps

In support of the vital work of Walk On Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids Fiji Foundation, the BSP Life Group and its partners completed 200 million steps over a span of 70 days and raised $35,000.

BSP Life Managing Director, Michael Nacola says they acknowledge and are deeply thankful for the collaborative spirit shown by the staff of BSP Life, Rooster, Oceania Hospitals, their customers and social media followers that supported this campaign.

The handover of the cheque took place today following a Zumba session at Albert Park at 6am this morning.

Nacola says the donation assists the lives of our little angels battling childhood cancer on a daily basis as they are heroes, and they are honoured to support them in a small way.

The funds raised will contribute towards providing essential resources, medical assistance and emotional support to children and families affected by childhood cancer.

WOWS Kids Fiji Trustee, Annabel Ali says this goes a long way in creating awareness that WOWS Kids Fiji need out in the community.

Ali says BSP has been a huge supporter for WOWS Kids Fiji over the past few years and apart from building awareness around childhood cancer, they were also encouraging their staff to be healthy.

First year university students Kavia and Michelle Prasad also came along to support the cause after seeing the post on Instagram.

Prasad says they came to support WOWS Kids Fiji because it brings a really fulfilling experience to them.

She says bringing attention to various challenges faced by childhood cancer patients and their families is vital.
