Diabetic patients will navigate easily in both rural and urban areas as Asco Motors donated a Hilux vehicle to Diabetes Fiji to reinforce its commitment to improving health outcomes and supporting community health. Asco Motors says the vehicle is a reliable vehicle equipped to handle diverse terrains that will allow diabetic patients to be checked at their various locations.

Diabetes Fiji has been a leader in raising awareness and providing support for individuals affected by diabetes, particularly Type 2 Diabetes.

Trustee of the Asco Foundation and CEO of Asco Motors, Ronald Kumar says the donation will significantly improve their ability to reach more individuals and families in need to ensure that crucial services are delivered efficiently.

He says the vehicle will enable them to expand their outreach efforts, conduct health screenings, provide essential education on diabetes management, and reach populations who may not have easy access to healthcare resources.

Kumar further says with this donation, Diabetes Fiji will be better positioned to conduct community workshops, health fairs, and outreach programs which are essential in combating the diabetes epidemic.

Meanwhile, the board Chair of Diabetes Fiji, Taarvish Akhbar says the donated vehicle will be instrumental in educating and assisting those affected by diabetes and improving the quality of life for many individuals.
