Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says as a united, caring and ambitious people, we will restore Fiji.

While giving his New Year’s message, Bainimarama says this is not a time to be distracted by dismay, by division, by negativity or by petty politics, we have far too much work to do together.

The Prime Minister says he asks the people to take faith in what they have done and keep hope in what they can do, adding that if we embrace that hope as one nation and one people as we have embraced it before, the best is most certainly yet to come.

He adds if we support one another next year we will reap big rewards because they have readied the nation for this moment.

Bainimarama further says their vision through the pandemic has kept the bones of the economy strong, poising us for a sweeping victory that delivers the dignity of work and prosperity it creates to every community.

The Prime Minister adds our high levels of vaccination means our freedom can remain.

Bainimarama also says as more children between the ages of 12-17 years get fully vaccinated, they have a clear plan to welcome the students back to school, filling in the final missing piece of our national life.

Meanwhile, 10 adults won $1,500 each while 20 children aged between 12-17 years won $500 each in the New Year's Eve $25,000 Draw of the 'Win Together' Sweepstakes.
