If you are yet to register for the General Elections, please note the Fijian Elections Office will be conducting another round of nationwide voter awareness and registration drive from the 1st of August to the 3rd of September.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says they wish to reach all the villages, settlements and urban areas that they reached in the last drive.

Saneem says they will be providing voter services to enable all Fijians to register for the 2022 General Elections as well as to update their voter card details such as name, residential address and to upgrade to the blue voter card.

The registration will stop if the Writ of Elections is issued.

The Supervisor has stressed that when they will be in the secondary schools, members of the public will not be allowed into the school as it is meant for secondary school students only.

There are 682,569 registered voters in the country.

The Office visited 95 schools, 217 settlements and 1,206 villages around Fiji during the first registration drive earlier this year.

He says they successfully recorded 19,954 new registrations and over 181,000 voters updated to the latest blue card.

He they they also extensively visited urban and semi-urban areas recorded a total of over 200,000 engagements.

Saneem has also highlighted overseas registration is ongoing where they have served 1,213 voters worldwide and their voter registration in Australia, New Zealand and Canada has concluded. He says they recorded 187 new registration and 1,026 updated their cards.

He adds they are still waiting for their visas to go to UK and the European region.
