All USP campuses in Fiji will be closed from Monday till 3rd April for mid semester break

All University of the South Pacific campuses in Fiji will be closed from Monday till the 3rd of April for the mid semester break.

Vice Chancellor, Professor Pal Ahluwalia says the semester break has been extended for one week which is from 30th March to 3rd April to safeguard its students and staff after the confirmation of two COVID-19 cases in Fiji.

Professor Ahluwalia says Fiji students who reside in the halls are to go home by Monday.

He says Lautoka students have an option to remain in the hostel.

Professor Ahluwalia says regional students can remain in the hostel.

He says other facilities on campuses other than Lautoka Campus such as the library and computer labs will remain open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm during the mid semester break.

USP's Lautoka Campus remains closed until further notice.

All Fiji National University campuses in Fiji will be closed for its mid semester break next week.

FNU campuses in the greater Lautoka area which includes Natabua Campus, Naceva Campus, Technical College of Fiji Lautoka Sanatan Campus remain closed until further notice.

FNU says all students who are taking trimester, penster, quarter and other mode studies and are outside the greater Lautoka area, can visit the universities, but there won't be any face to face classes on Monday.

They say a further announcement will be made on Monday.

Students are advised to log in to their moodle accounts to continue with their studies and assignments.

Meanwhile, all University of Fiji's Suva campuses will remain open.

Vice Chancellor of Uni Fiji, Professor Sushila Chang says students in Suva will be informed of any changes to the situation in Suva.

Uni Fiji's Saweni Campus remain closed until further notice.
