The All Blacks dodged a bullet after managing to steal the game at the end with a 23-20 win over the Wallabies.

Eddie Jones’ Wallabies seemed like a totally different team to the one that lost to the All Blacks at the MCG last week as they got in two quick tries in the first 8 minutes.

Marika Koroibete silenced the Dunedin crowd after dotting down in the corner in the 3rd minute to put them ahead with Carter Gordon slotting the conversion.

Mark Nawaqanitawase and Andrew Kellaway split the All Blacks up the middle and Tom Hooper showed incredible strength to finish out wide and score his first test try to extend the lead to 14-0.

The All Blacks surprised everyone by opting for goal from a penalty right in front with Damian McKenzie putting it over to get their first 3 points.

Fijian Mark Nawaqanitawase was breaking through tackles at will and punching holes in the All Blacks defence.

The Wallabies led 17-3 at half time.

All Blacks winger Shaun Stevenson scored on debut, dotting down out wide in the tackle of fullback Andrew Kellaway.

Richie Mo’unga came off the bench in the 48th minute to replace D-Mac and the pace shifted as he took it up a gear.

Leicester Fainga'anuku came close to scoring but dropped it while reaching out, luckily Samipeni Finau scored a few minutes later to put the All Blacks in the lead 20-17.

Quade Cooper equaled with a penalty conversion to bring the scores level at 20-20.

Richie Mo’unga broke the Wallabies hearts by kicking in a 40 metre penalty from the side in the 79th minute to seal things for the hosts.
