People rushed to the Health Minitry HQ to get passes.

A total of 9,067 Fijians from different areas have so far been registered to return home since the announcement on 29th May.

This includes 4758 people from the Central Division, 1584 people from the Northern Division, 2078 from the Western Division and 647 from the Eastern Division.

The Ministry of Commerce, Trade Tourism and Transport says while government is making its best possible efforts to allow Fijians to return home safely and reunite with their families, a phased approach is being taken.

They say therefore only Fijians registered to move from non-containment to containment zones will be permitted to travel at present.

You can call 163 to register or enquire for a pass.

Registered Fijians are to consult their nearest District Offices, Provincial Administrator Offices and/or Divisional Commissioner’s Offices to confirm registration for movement.

Upon receiving confirmation people will require a pass from an appointed medical official from the four Divisions and only those registered will be allowed to travel.
