A total of 8,928 Year 13 students will sit for the Fiji Seventh Form Examination in 169 centres across the country from today until the 11th of this month.

The results are expected to be released on 17th March 2022.

While giving her well wishes to the students, Education Minister Premila Kumar says the 2021 academic year had been an extremely challenging one, and students were away from face to face classes for almost 8 months, due to the pandemic.

Kumar says but through the hard work and dedication of the Heads of Schools and teachers, engagement with students was maintained through remote learning, using digital platforms and other means.

The Minister also says Heads of Schools have provided an assurance that all of the syllabus were completed and sufficient revision time was prioritized for the students.

She adds despite the challenges caused by the pandemic, teachers and students have shown resilience and have risen to the occasion to prepare for the examinations.

Kumar has also assured parents and guardians that the schools have made all necessary arrangements to ensure that exams are held in compliance with COVID-Safe protocols.
