Eight thousand dollars has been donated by Think Pacific Foundation in Fiji to the National Disaster Management Office for Tropical Cyclone Harold relief efforts.

Think Pacific Co-founder Harry Hunter says they are working with rural communities and partnering with local Ministries and organizations here in Fiji.

He says through their programs and projects, the International students and volunteers who come to Fiji, learn a lot and are able to develop personally and professionally through their time and experiences shared by working with women and youth groups and within schools.

Hunter also mentioned that throughout his stay here in Fiji, it was phenomenal to witness the resilience of Fijian communities.

He further added that it is a privilege for Think Pacific foundation to provide donations towards rebuilding Fijian communities impacted by TC Harold.

NDMO Director Vasiti Soko says the NDMO will ensure that the donation is used to assist the most vulnerable communities affected by TC Harold.

The NDMO continues to build on strategic partnerships to manage both risks and impacts of disasters which is an underlying principle in the National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy.
