Cash and assorted items ranging from $70 to $11,018.40 were stolen during alleged aggravated robberies, aggravated burglaries and theft offences which consisted of home invasions, shop and canteen burglaries, carjacking, daylight and night street robberies based on the serious charges laid in July.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says there were 101 people charged with serious offences, and there were a total of 95 counts of separate incidents in July.

There was 1 count of murder, 1 count of attempted murder, 1 count of manslaughter by breach of duty, 20 counts of aggravated robbery, 2 counts of attempted aggravated robbery, 22 counts of aggravated burglary, 2 counts of burglary, 25 counts of theft, 2 counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, 2 counts of act with intent to cause grievous harm, 2 counts of attempt to cause grievous harm, 1 count of unlawful wounding, 2 counts of arson, 4 counts of careless driving, 1 count of refusal to undergo breath analysis, 3 counts of general dishonesty causing a loss, 1 count of criminal trespass, 1 count of criminal intimidation, 1 count of breach of the Domestic Violence Restraining Order and 1 count of disorderly conduct at a police station.

Of the 101 accused persons, 21 were juveniles and 10 were police officers.

The juveniles were charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and theft offences.

A 28-year-old police officer was charged with criminal trespass and assault causing actual bodily harm to his 27-year-old wife while in another incident, a 27-year-old police officer was charged with the breach of DVRO and assault causing actual bodily harm to his 27-year-old wife.

There was one incident where a 36-year-old police officer was charged with burglary. He allegedly broke into the police clubrooms and stole beer worth $59.95 from the fridge.

In another incident, a 21-year-old police officer was charged with the theft of an ATM card and $380 cash from another police officer.

A 24-year-old police officer was charged with three counts of general dishonesty causing a loss. The accused allegedly caused a loss of $270 to the owner of a rental company when he did not return the car on time.

A 32-year-old police officer, a 27-year-old police officer and a 48-year-old police officer were charged with one count each of careless driving in three separate incidents.

In another incident, a 46-year-old police officer was charged with careless driving and refusal to undergo a breath analysis while in another incident, a 27-year-old police officer was charged with disorderly conduct at a police station.

There was one incident where a 36-year-old man was charged with the murder of his 20-year-old brother. The accused allegedly stabbed his brother multiple times with a knife following an altercation.

A 30-year-old man was charged with the attempted murder of a 25-year-old man. The accused allegedly attacked the victim with a knife after a drinking party. In another incident, a 65-year-old man was charged with manslaughter arising from breach of duty, however, this matter was withdrawn due to insufficient evidence.

A 30-year-old man was charged with an act with intent to cause grievous harm to his 20-year-old stepbrother with an axe while in another incident, a 40-year-old woman was charged with an act with intent to cause grievous harm to a 42-year-old man with a knife.

There was one incident where a 41-year-old man was charged with two counts of attempt to cause grievous harm. The accused allegedly used his car as a weapon to repeatedly ram another vehicle.

A 32-year-old man was charged with one count of unlawful wounding. The accused allegedly used a cane knife and a pinch bar to cause injuries to a 34-year-old man.

There was one incident where a 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were charged with two counts of arson. The accused persons allegedly set fire to two market stalls causing $163,000 worth of estimated damage.

Five cases were withdrawn due to insufficient and inconsistent evidence.
