Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says four new players entered Fiji’s Business Process Outsourcing space in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic and the existing companies experienced growth in the same year.

Bainimarama highlighted this while speaking at the launch of Bula Outsourcing last night.

He says the executives and staff of Bula Outsourcing have taken the company which had a staff of 10 when it was established last year to a staff of 70 today.

He says the Government has provided an annual marketing grant of $200,000 to the Business Process Outsourcing Council to promote Fiji as an ideal BPO destination and they will continue to provide attractive tax incentives for the industry as well as support the development of dedicated IT and BPO parks.

The Prime Minister says success breeds success and Fiji will attract more investors in the BPO sector as the fame spreads and as companies begin to appreciate the high-quality and efficient work of Fiji’s BPO companies, more of them will decide to outsource their business processes here.

Bula Outsourcing Chief Operating Officer, Aaron Milburn says they want to support the growth of the industry in Fiji.

He says the potential Fiji has to be a global leader in outsourcing is huge.
