37 Gold medals will be up for grabs on the last day of the Coca-Cola Games today

37 gold medals are up for grabs on the last day of the 2019 Coca-Cola Games at the ANZ Stadium today.

There are 18 gold medals available in the girls division and 19 in the boys division.

The finals of the 200 metres, 400x100 metres and 4x400 metres relays will be held today.

The 200 metres finals will start at 9.50am, the 4x100 metres relay finals will begin at 10.40am while the 4x400 metres relay finals will start at 12pm.

The Senior Boys 200 metres race will once again see RKS athlete Kolinio Radrudru and Natabua High School’s Nemani Mudrelagi battle it out for the gold medal.

Radrudru won the Senior Boys 100 metres title yesterday while Mudrelagi had to settle for silver.

These two athletes will receive stiff competition from Marist athlete Viliame Rekitilako, Darcy Commick of Suva Grammar and Lawrence Rayawa and Joeli Bolakoro from RKS.

In the Senior Girls 200 metres race, Serenia Ragatu of Adi Cakobau School is the favourite to win after clinching the Senior Girls 100 metres yesterday. Salote Baravilala and Vika Bavui of Jasper Williams High School and Asilika Gasau of Saint Joseph’s Secondary School are the other top contenders.

RKS will have three runners in the Intermediate Boys 200 metres race that include, Richard Elder,  Tevita Sokiveta and Viliame Ravu. Marist’s Lasarusa Senibale, Aminio Tuilevu of Cuvu College and Suva Grammar’s Meli Romuakalou are the other top bets for the race.

Marica Korovulavula , Amele Navabale and Naomi Sigaruarua of ACS, Saint Joseph’s Marian Oneill and Unaisi Tagabale of Jasper are the runners to watch out for in the Intermediate Girls 200 metres.

Looking at the Junior Boys 200 metres race, Ronald Sharma of Cuvu College, George Simpson and Waisea Murimurivalu of Suva Grammar, Mesulame Tuigau of RKS and Alipate Vuiwakaya of Natabua are the runners to look out for.

ACS will once again have 3 athletes who are Jemimah Rabo, Kesaia Boletakanakadavu and Miriama Naulivou in the Junior Girls 200 metres race. Repeka Rosi of Jasper and Tokasa Gukirewa of Saint Joseph’s  will provide the competition to the ACS athletes. 

RKS will be represented by Kolinio Kadaoca, Joeli Cagilaba and Inia Colatanavanua, Elia Waqanidrola will carry the hopes of Marist while Semesa Caginivalu will represent Suva Grammar in the Sub‑Junior Boys 200 metres.

Melania Ranadi and Varanisese Naiobasali of ACS , Rawa Lewabeka of Jasper, Losalini Lesuma of Saint Jospeh’s and David Chloe of Suva Grammar will battle it out in the Sub‑Junior Girls 200 metres.

Other finals that will be held today in the Girls Division are the Junior Girls Long Jump, Senior Girls Shot Put, Junior Girls Shot Put, Intermediate Girls Javelin, Sub-Junior Girl Shot Put, Senior Girls Javelin and Sub-Junior Girls High Jump.

In the Boys Division other finals that will be held today are the Senior Boys Triple Jump, Senior Boys High Jump, Junior Boys High Jump, Sub Junior Boys Discus, Senior Boys Discus, Intermediate Boys Triple Jump and Junior Boys Long Jump.
