Today 32 participants of the Financial Literacy and Business Management Training that was organised by the Ministry of Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communication also took part in the celebration of the International Day of MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) that was held at the Raiwaqa Parish Hall.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Manoa Kamikamica says he is delighted to be amongst enthusiastic entrepreneurs who are eager to enter the business sector with the drive and aspiration to become successful.

Kamikamica says he believes that women are one of the keys to societies progress and that their presence in business ventures will have these effects.

He says it gives him hope and encouragement that the knowledge participants will obtain from the Financial Literacy and Business Management Training will have the potential to improve their business.

He added that while celebrating World MSME Day, its an effort that has recognise the enormous contributions made by MSMEs and its crucial that we understand how significantly we all have contributed to making this day possible.

The Minister says that it is pleasing to know that women are breaking barriers in the business sectors, whether it's in the wholesale and retail sector, but women entrepreneurs are also making head waves in agriculture, creative industries and even engineering.

Kamikamica also told the participants and their family members that rest assured that his Ministry is there to offer help to those who really needed it.
