A $27,000 grant from the Ministry of Education was used to renovate the boys’ dormitory at Nadogo College in Vanua Levu and students can now enjoy the new facilities provided by the second combat engineer squadron from the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces.

Commanding Officer of the 2nd Combat Engineer Squadron, Captain Viliame Tagiveitaua, handed over the newly renovated Boys Dormitory to the Head of School and Manager of Nadogo College, Ranadiniceva Raluna in Vanua Levu.

Captain Viliame Tagiveitaua says the renovated boys' dormitory will make the environment more conducive to learning and help the students in their academic journey.

He says a team of 10 personnel was assigned to carry out the renovation works which included the renovation included repairing broken furniture, fixing plumbing and electrical systems, and enhancing ventilation to create a more hygienic and functional environment.

Captain Tagiveitaua says the initiative aimed to provide the students with a better quality of life.

These projects are a testament to the ongoing commitment of the RFMF to support community development initiatives, reinforcing the vital role of the RFMF engineers in nation-building efforts.
