Over 200 street dwellers from the Suva-Nausori corridor have been groomed and counseled on human trafficking after watching the inspirational movie called Sound of Freedom.

They had free haircuts before going to the cinemas.

Local organisations like Vodafone ATH Foundation, Value City, AlLevi8 Network, Ahava Fiji Project, Aruka, Survival Network Advocacy, Inspire Pacific and the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection, worked closely to support the initiative that was aimed to give the street dwellers a sense that they belong to a family and are missed dearly.

After watching the movie, the street dwellers were addressed on the critical issue of human trafficking and homelessness.

Co-founder of Ahava Project Fiji, Naina Senito says the youths enjoyed watching the movie that reveals the struggles of human trafficking survivors and addresses the realities of street kids and their journey towards reintegration.

Senito says they are thankful to Vodafone ATH Foundation for making the street dwellers smile as many of them have never been to any cinema in their lifetime.

She has urged Fijians to show their love towards one another and share their love to those that really need it.

The program was successful through the Vodafone ATH Foundation's assistance of $7,000.
