12 juveniles and 7 police officers were charged with separate serious offences excluding sex offences last month.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says cash and assorted items ranging from $3 to $314,325.17 were stolen during the alleged aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and theft offences which consisted of home invasions, shop burglaries, car-jacking, daylight and night street robberies.

A 38-year-old U.S. national was charged with the murder of his 36-year-old wife at a resort.

A lawyer and three others were charged with 20 counts of serious offences which included one count of murder, one count of aiding and abetting murder, seven counts of attempted murder, and seven counts of aiding and abetting attempted murder.

They were also charged with one count of criminal intimidation, two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm and one count of conspiracy to defeat justice.

A 52-year-old man was charged with the attempted murder of his 30-year-old wife, however, this matter was discontinued after the victim could not be contacted or located.

A 40-year-old man was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to his 36-year-old wife while in another incident, a 35-year-old man was charged with an act with intent to cause grievous harm to his 29-year-old wife.

71 people were charged with a total of 96 counts of separate incidents.

There were six incidents where the accused and the victims were related to one another.

A 23-year-old police officer was charged with the unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

A 52-year-old police officer was charged with one count of abuse of office for allegedly using $8,064.50 from the police exhibit to purchase items for the police.

A 24-year-old police officer was charged with two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm to a 21-year-old woman and was also charged with breach of the Domestic Violence Restraining Order.

A 29-year-old police officer was charged with dangerous driving and a 28-year-old police officer was charged with driving with excess blood alcohol in another incident.

In one incident a 54-year-old former police officer was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to a 42-year-old police officer.

A 34-year-old man was charged with arson for allegedly setting fire to his defacto partner’s home after a dispute.

A 40-year-old man was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to his 36-year-old wife while in another incident, a 35-year-old man was charged with an act with intent to cause grievous harm to his 29-year-old wife.

A 37-year-old man was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to a 29-year-old man and a 49-year-old man for allegedly assaulting the victims with a cane knife after a dispute.

A 28-year-old man was charged with an act with intent to cause grievous harm to his 29-year-old girlfriend with a hammer.

A 35-year-old nightclub owner was charged with four counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and controlled equipment.

A 43-year-old man was charged with the unlawful possession of illicit drugs. He allegedly possessed 88 cannabis plants, however, the matter was discontinued.

A total of five cases were withdrawn after discontinuances due to insufficient, inconsistent and incomplete evidence and the inability to locate the victims.
