Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has reminded officers to speak up when things are not right and address issues as it comes their way.

While speaking to 75 officers who will be undergoing the Corporal Qualifying course at the Fiji Police Academy, Tudravu says the rank they hold demands consistency in providing professional service and they need to positively influence those under their leadership.

He reiterated the importance of the course to those holding frontline supervisory roles.

Tudravu says that stepping into the role of leadership is a challenge and the junior officers look up to them as role models when it comes to policing, therefore, their attitude will change their perception in terms of service delivery.

The Acting Commissioner says this is an opportunity to enhance their knowledge in policing and implement the lessons learnt in their respective divisions.

Tudravu also thanked the officers for their contribution towards the COVID-19 operations and the fight against drugs.
