Wallabies prop James Slipper is set to become Australia’s most-capped Rugby Union player when he comes off the bench this weekend against the All Blacks in the 1st round of the Bledisloe Cup.

Slipper will make his 140th Wallabies appearance and will surpass former Wallabies captain and legendary halfback George Gregan’s record.

The 35-year-old made his debut in 2010 against England in Perth as a 21-year-old.

Slipper is one of just three Wallabies to feature in four Rugby World Cups and earlier this year broke the record for the most capped Test prop ever in International Rugby.

Slipper’s fellow Wallaby Noah Lolesio was full of praise for the prop and said he has nothing but respect for Slipper.

Lolesio says Slipper is just an amazing player in Australian rugby and for him to be playing in that position for this long at the highest level shows how professional and mentally strong he is.

Meanwhile, three players with links to Fiji, Rob Valetini, Marika Koroibete and Langi Gleeson have been named in the Wallabies match day 23 squad for this clash.

Valetini will start at flanker, Koroibete will be on the left wing and Gleeson will come off the bench.

The Wallabies will host the All Blacks at 5.45pm tomorrow in Sydney.
