QVS U18 comes from behind to beat Lelean 18-14 in round 3 Eastern Zone Schools Rugby

Defending Vodafone Super Deans under 18 champion Queen Victoria School continued their winning streak in the Eastern Zone Schools Rugby Competition after edging rivals Lelean Memorial School 18-14 in round 3 to top the points table.

QVS came from behind to claim the win after Lelean took a comfortable 14-0 lead through two converted tries in the first half.

QVS came back and scored a try just before halftime to trail Lealean 14-5 at the break.

Lelean held on to the lead for most of the second half until QVS struck in the dying minutes of the game scoring two more unconverted tries and a penalty kick at goal to claim the win.

In other U18 Deans results, RKS thrashed Sila Central High School 64-0, and Tailevu North thumped St Vincent's College 32-3.

In the U14, QVS beat Tailevu North 17-5, and Lelean lost to RKS 12-5, in the U15, RKS thrashed Dawasamu Secondary School 46-0, QVS outplayed St Vincent 54-3, Pt Shreedhar Maharaj College beat Muaniweni College 19-12 and Sila Central defeated Nakasi High School 17-0. In the U16, RKS thrashed Tailevu North 22-0, and in the U17, QVS thrashed Dawasamu 41-8.

In the U19 grade, St John's College thrashed Wainimakutu Secondary School 28-0 and Lelean edged Bau Central College 17-13.
