Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has encouraged front-line personnel in the Western Division to maintain momentum in their COVID-19 response in particular efforts which would lead to the full vaccination of our nation’s targeted population.

Bainimarama is on a three-day tour of the Western Division, visiting vaccination centres and COVID-19 command centres.

The Prime Minister says it was important for all personnel and the community at large to work together to share the importance of fully vaccinating our targeted population.

Bainimarama also conveyed his gratitude to the frontline personnel, adding their commitments and sacrifices have greatly assisted the Fijian Government on its road to economic recovery.

Bainimarama told the frontline personnel to continue with the good work and keep on encouraging members of the community to come forward to get vaccinated.

He adds this is our only chance of normalcy.

Bainimarama was also briefed on COVID-19 operations at the Navua and Sigatoka Hospitals.

He also visited the vaccination sites at Vashist Muni College Hall, St. John of Arc Primary School, Nadi Civic Centre and the Sofitel Resort and Spa quarantine facility.
