The Land Transport Authority has extended the end date for the compulsory online registration of driving license holders to Friday, 31 July 2020.

LTA CEO, Samuel Simpson says over 60,000 registered drivers are already enjoying their E-services.

Simpson urges license holders to take advantage of this extension and register online with the Authority.

Simpson says registering online gives license holders access to LTA's E-services allowing them to complete many procedures such as paying fines online and removing the need for long waiting times and queues at their offices.

He says it also allows for better accountability as transactions will be logged in databases and easily retrievable.

Simpson adds currently, registration can be done through multiple ways, including on their website, Facebook and by calling or going to LTA branches.

He says some E-services Fijians can access online includes setting up a driving licence and roadworthiness expiry reminders, payment of Traffic Infringement Notice fines, booking Defensive Driving Courses, booking Driving tests – Provisional and full, Transaction details – driving record, vehicle fitness, fee calculator – find out what the cost of future transactions will be e.g.driving licence, roadworthiness and alerts on TIN issuance
